Post Treatment
- Swelling to the treated and surrounding area will be present.
- Mild to moderate bruising to the treated and surrounding area is likely to be present immediately post treatment, and in some cases bruising will appear the following day.
- Numbness or reduced sensation may be present in and around the treatment area(s) for an hour post treatment. This may be quite obvious particularly if numbing cream was used or multiple areas treated.
- Volumising treatments may take up to 4 full weeks to settle and integrate into the tissues. At 2 – 4 weeks post treatment if you notice any asymmetries or areas of concern, please attend the clinic for a 2-4 week review appointment where we will assess and massage or adjust if necessary.
Aftercare:
- Avoid touching your face for the remainder of the day.
- Do not apply makeup for the rest of the day.
- Avoid strenuous exercise, excessive sweating & saunas for 24-48 hours.
- Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area for 48 hours.
- Gently cleanse and moisturise skin as usual, but avoid scrubbing, excessive pressure or massaging.
- Avoid lying face down for 48 hours if possible while the treatment settles.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours as this can increase bruising.
